Our toll road template includes operations over a 60 year timeframe. It enables analysis for as many as seven different tranches of debt, including a TIFIA loan, an MRA and DSRA, along with a DOT revenue sharing mechanism. This semi-annual model uses a unique linear algebraic macro to size a dividend recapitalization while maintaining a consistent debt service coverage ratio (DSRA). The model enables the synthesis of actuals into the operations timeline and provides a full three-statement analysis, including a cash waterfall, income statement, and a balance sheet. Our Dashboard will help you tell the story of your project to all interested stakeholders.

The Orbis stand-alone battery energy storage system (BESS) model takes a streamlined best practice approach to modeling for tax equity. We start with up to three cases (base, high, and low) for the full range of project inputs, both constant inputs (Inp_C) and series inputs (Inp_S). Our lean construction finance tab includes space for sponsor equity, construction loan, and a tax equity bridge loan, with the option to move between equity first and pro-rata draws during construction. We also include network upgrade deposits and reimbursements typical for BESS bid processes. Our generation section includes both fixed and variable expenses as well as operational letters of credit required for BESS projects. We convert our sources and uses during construction into a back levered debt solution. Full 704b capital accounts are included. We size tax equity using a fair market value (FMV) approach, enabling users to switch methods between capex, income, or average of the two. We also include fully dynamic three statement financial analysis as well as a simple to use dashboard and sensitivities.

Sale leaseback models evaluate the economics of building a solar project, selling it to an investor, then leasing the benefits of the project back from the investor. Our model includes a comprehensive capex schedule and dynamic depreciation calculations along with best practice formatted revenue and operating expense calculations. We also include a fully dynamic set of financial statements, including a cash waterfall, income statement, and balance sheet. Our model also helps you time and size the buyback option inherent to this structure using straightforward VBA copy and past macros.
Is the model suitable for the purpose to which it has been deployed?
Does it produce financial statements and cash flows that are materially consistent with the assumptions?
Are there any circularities?
Are the formulae consistent across all time periods?
Does the internal logic contained in the model enable inputs to flow through calculations to outputs in a sound and internally correct manner?
Can results be sensitized readily?
Do those sensitivities work properly?
Does the model materially reflect the assumptions contained the key project documentation, including relevant tax and accounting opinions?
Does the model reflect the definitions of key financial covenants and ratios?
